Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Billing Manager, the overall responsibility of the Revenue and Reimbursement Specialist is to ensure that all billing is prepared and submitted in a timely basis and recorded accurately to the general ledger.  Duties are in regard to Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. and companies managed by/supported by Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitors billing processed through EHR software for timeliness and reasonableness. Keeps the Billing Manager aware of any billing delays.
  • Processes other customer billing through sales order invoices in the agency ERP software.
  • Prepares revenue analysis to ensure that all third-party billing is properly recorded to the general ledger.
  • Works with the Billing Manager and operations teams to identify, correct, and rebill denied claims.
  • Reviews the customer aging reports for delinquent accounts. Keeps supervisor informed of all actual or potential payment issues.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the Accounting department.
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds

Qualifications

Education, Work Experience, and Competencies

  • High School
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Able to learn new computer programs as they become available
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
  • Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent communication skills
  • Proficient writing skills with grasp of basic grammar and spelling
