POSITION SUMMARY
The overall responsibility of the Recruiter is sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, recommending placement and extending offer by using creative internal and external sourcing methods. The Recruiter works externally to promote the FREE network as an employer of choice and partners internally with the hiring programs/departments to seek out applicants with the right combination of experience, education, skills and abilities to fill a particular position.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process
• Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates
• Remains active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and creates, sources and post job descriptions and announcements; finds new platforms as needed
• Screens resumes and interviews candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for consideration
• Informs job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
• Contacts job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications
• Manages candidate activity using the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Processes Initial Employment Authorization, prepares offer letters and extends employment offers. Communicates acceptance/rejection of offer to hiring manager
• Develops and maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of staffing goals
• Responsible for the transition of new hires from the ATS to the HR Support and HRIS teams
• Assists with New Hire Orientation
• Tracks and keeps records of recruitment activity, provides weekly reports to supervisor
•Visits programs and develops relationships with managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, job specifications, individuals served and the general needs of the program/department
• Develops and maintains relationships with potential sources of qualified candidates
• Works with college, high school and vocational staff to promote interest among students. Participates in career-related events such as panel discussions, mock interviews and others
• Promotes company’s reputation as “best place to work”
• Assists with developing advertising and marketing programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
• Trains Hiring Managers on recruiting, hiring process and use of the ATS
• Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
• Assists HR Support team with gathering requested documents for auditing purposes
• Covers onboarding process when needed
• Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Work Experience, and Competencies
• Education:
o High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• Experience:
o A minimum of two years of experience in recruiting, human resources, non-profit or another related field
• Specialized Training, Licenses, Certifications:
o Not required, training will be provided upon hire as needed
• Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS and other job-related technology
o Ability and willingness to travel to worksites and recruiting events required
o Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
o Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend recruitment events
o Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to manage multiple competing time-sensitive priorities
o Proven ability to work in an environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
o Interviewing skills and knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices preferred
o Basic understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment preferred
• Other Requirements:
o Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
o Customer-service orientation with strong desire to meet/exceed hiring managers’ needs
The Pay Range for this job is $48,000 - $50,000.This range is based on what FREE reasonably believes it will pay an employee as for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s experience, qualifications, services provided, geographic location, relevant skills, and other factors permitted under federal, state, and local laws
