Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans.

Essential Job Functions

1. Perform cleaning tasks including; Sweeping and mopping floors, Cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains., Cleaning buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, dusting and cleaning surfaces,
2. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours.
3. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
4. Light maintenance as directed by the Swept Free supervisor.
5. Demonstrate professional conduct at all times. Follow the code of conduct and Agency expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
6. Transport Swept FREE team members to and from TRI location in Westbury to FREE location in Bethpage.

Education, Work Experience, and Competencies

1. Experience in janitorial/maintenance industry preferred.
2. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license
3.  H.S. Diploma/GED

Physical Demands

1. Must be able to stand for 5 – 6 hours at a time and lift over 50lbs.
