Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Vocational Services, the Supported Employment Program Coordinator is responsible to provide supervision and training for employment specialists; ensure the development/ implementation of job training activities; ensure that individuals receive job development/placement and retention services and act as liaison with internal/external collateral providers. The Program Coordinator will also assist in the development of grant proposals.

  • Ensures that individuals receive systematic instruction  to perform required job duties accurately and efficiently; assist with the development of such instruction
  • Trains employment specialists to prepare required documentation, i.e. consumer assessments; task analyses; monthly quarterly and annual reports; time sheets; travel logs; DDP etc.
  • Ensures that employment specialists prepare daily work routine/job duty analyses that indicate measurable goals/outcomes for the consumer.
  • Provides reports to ACCES-VR, OPWDD, OMH, FREE and other agencies as specified in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Participates in internal and external audits as scheduled/required. Develop, execute and review plans of action regarding these surveys and follow through on all recommendations in a timely manner.


  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' professional experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Minimum of 2 years' professional management experience
  • Valid New York Driver's License and meets the criteria to be an agency driver
