  • Overview

    Under the supervision of the Vice President of Enhanced Housing Health Care Services, the Operations Director is responsible for the overall management of the new and existing residential projects/initiatives that support individuals who receive enhanced medical services. The Operations Director is responsible for ensuring that all individuals receive on-going quality care. The Operations Director is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned Residential Managers and the indirect supervision of Assistant Residential Managers, Senior Counselors and Direct Support Professionals. The Operations Director is responsible for the oversight of homes servicing individuals whom require enhanced care coordination and nursing/medical support.


    • Responsible for the oversight of care for individuals with severe developmental disabilities, co-occurring disorders and complex medical needs in assigned programs.
    • Work in partnership with the clinical team to ensure clinical policies and procedures and best practices, which reflect the objectives of the agency’s strategic goals and the mission, are carried out and performed as intended.
    • Work in partnership with external providers (employers, day services, etc.) to ensure that all supports and services provided are in alignment and designed to meet the needs of the people living in the residence.
    • Direct oversight of the Residential Manager in their role and responsibilities
    • Develop and Implement Residential Habilitation Plans (Res Hab) and associated goals.
    • Ensure all team members in the residence are fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of their positions. Provide supervision and guidance to all team members working in the residence on an ongoing basis. Address performance issues through performance improvement or corrective action measures
    • Communicate with the people we support, family members, community representatives and external providers in a professional, respectful manner
    • Interview, hire, develop and retain high quality staff


    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of management experience required
    • A leader who will initiate and foster relationships and collaborations with the people we support, their families and the greater community
    • Familiarity with OPWDD, and DOH and other state government entities required to sufficiently operate the division.
    • Demonstrated competency in all state, local, federal regulations and agency policies relevant to the operation of all certified/uncertified agency locations
    • Willingness to be on call/flexible schedule
    • Experience working with Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled adults and/or those who are medically fragile preferred
    • Ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and meet deadlines.
    • Willingness to travel
