Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Behavior Support, the Behavior Intervention Specialist is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of all psychological services for the men and women living within multiple residences located in Queens, New York.








The job responsibilities of The Behavior Intervention Specialist includes, but is not limited to: development, implementation and monitoring of behavioral intervention programs and strategies, psychological evaluations, behavior analysis, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, case reviews and other interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, and consultation with other team members. The qualified candidate must be able to work in partnership with all levels within the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure the highest quality of clinical services for the people we support in a manner that is consistent and aligned with the agency mission and vision, and the philosophy of the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL).







  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related field is required
  • Knowledge of behavior modification and support planning is preferred
  • Diagnostics and counseling experience strongly desired
  • Must have flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to be flexible to meet the needs of a diverse population
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
